There are several foods that are healthy for you and promote brain function. These foods are simple to make and eating them is great way to start your day!
The most cliché breakfast food is eggs. Eggs are great because you can make them in many different ways. You can have eggs over easy, scrambled, sunny side up, etc. The reason eggs are such a great breakfast food is because they are high in protein. This helps you to feel fuller faster. Thus, you won’t need to eat as many calories to feel full. Also, egg yolks have antioxidants that help keep your eyes healthy.
Oatmeal is an acquired taste for most. However, it’s a great source of fiber and antioxidants. The antioxidants in oatmeal help to protect your heart and decrease your blood pressure. Who wouldn’t want a healthy heart and healthy blood? On the down side, a cup of oatmeal only has 6 grams of protein. Therefore, it isn’t considered a high protein breakfast. That much protein will increase your metabolism and help you lose weight. You won’t want to eat anything until lunch if you eat cottage cheese for breakfast.
